What is your focus in this life? Are you focused on having people applaud you and think well of you, or having your Heavenly Father pleased with you and reward you? Which outcome of your focus do you think is more valuable and eternal?

Jesus did not come to garner popularity and the accolades of men. Nor did He come to just enjoy His life and have a good time. He was here to do His Father's Will and to please Him, not man. His focus was on shifting our focus off of our reputations on earth onto building our reputation in heaven. He came to give us a heavenly perspective.
He paid a high price of rejection and being hated because of this. He knew full well that He would not be received before He even came to earth from heaven. But our heavenly acceptance was more important to Him than His earthly one, and well worth the pain and the tears He cried on our behalf.
So I ask you again, what is your focus? Are you living to be rewarded by men or by God? TLC
Philippians 2:5-7 New King James Version (NKJV) The Humbled and Exalted Christ 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond servant, and coming in the likeness of men.
Isaiah 53:3 (KJV) 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
