Dessert Time Is Over

The days we are living in are very sobering. Humanity is dying all around us because of the world-wide pandemic, Covid-19. People are dying left and right without knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior, as a result, their certain eternal destination is hell and eternal torment. The alarms are sounding and the bells of heaven are loudly clanging, calling out to whoever will listen and take immediate action. Meanwhile, we as the Body of Christ are self-focused in order to ensure the survival of our own families and have forgotten the call to go into all the world and preach the gospel. We have become dull of hearing, and all the while the lost are suffering and dying.

Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ is very costly. You risk losing family and friends. Speaking the truth in love is not always easy and can be very uncomfortable when confronting your loved ones with the consequences of sin. Not everyone will receive what you have to say and will reject the Lord and you. But what cost did our Father in Heaven pay? The Blood of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Was it comfortable for the Father to watch His Son be crucified on the Cross? Absolutely not. In fact, it was so painful for the Father to see His Son suffer He turned his head away for a moment. He allowed the suffering of His Son so that we could have eternal life. Love is very costly.
When we gave our lives to Christ we put to death the “old man”, our sinful, selfish, carnal selves in exchange for a new life in Christ. Our lives are not our own but belong to Christ. We do not have the luxury of doing what we want to do anymore. We are to take up our Cross, crucify our flesh daily, and follow the ways of Christ. Fear of man is not an option, but fear of God is mandatory. The righteous are as bold as a lion, but we act sheepishly instead.
We must lay down our comfortable relationships with those we know are living in sin without the Lord Jesus Christ. It is time to step up to the plate because no one knows when they will leave this earth - especially now, during this deadly virus. We must take the courage of heart we need to plainly lay out the Gospel of Jesus Christ in order to win our lost loved ones. We must push aside placating sinful behavior and the fear of hurting people or losing them. What is more important? Taking the risk of losing them by highlighting their sin in light of the Word of God and possibly saving their eternal souls, or maintaining relationships that placate our loved one’s sin sending them straight to hell? Yes, these are strong words, but eternal damnation is very severe as well.
We will be held accountable for what we did and did not do for the Lord. If the Holy Spirit has prompted us to share the hard truths of God’s Word and we disobeyed the call, the blood of our lost loved ones will be on our hands. However, if we share the gospel of Jesus Christ that would save their souls from hell and they reject Christ, we are not held accountable. We are protected when we are obedient to the Holy Spirit's prompting.
Dessert time is over. We have had a long season of grace to grow and strengthen our walk with the Lord, but now is the time to do the meat of His will for His purposes to come to pass in our spheres of influence. It is time put in action our faith in Christ and shine the light of His truth so we can literally pull the feet of our loved ones out of hell. We must hear the urgent call of the Holy Spirit and do the work of an evangelist in order to win the lost. It is not time to pull back in fear but launch forward for the sake of our loved ones - all to the glory of God.
Great job! Find a way to get these out there for people to read!
