Songs of Deliverance

I learned an interesting thing about songs of deliverance. I always thought by virtue of simply being a Christian, songs of deliverance were a given. However, after reading my Bible I found this is not the case. In Psalms 32:5 it says we are to confess our sins to the Lord and *then* He will sing songs of deliverance over us (Psalms 32:7). Why do we think we do not have to confess our sins? Because there is a deficit in teaching that Christians need forgiven daily, sometimes hourly! I heard a "Pastor" once say we as Christians do not sin. Not sure what Bible he was reading, because my Bible clearly says "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23). Forgiveness is there for us freely and in abundant supply, but we must *humble* ourselves in *repentance* daily and *ask* for forgiveness, and the Father will forgive us and cleanse us from unrighteousness. We can then expect the Father to sing songs of deliverance over us and lift us up on His wings of mercy. ❤TLC❤ Psalm 32:5 English Standard Version (ESV) 5 I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah Psalm 32:7 New International Version (NIV) 7 You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.
